Abstract
Fotokatalitiĉka degradacija metil oranž bojila ispitivana je u vodenim otopinama korištenjem poroznog filma cinkovog oksida, koji ĉine dvodimenzionalne nanostrukture. Nanostrukture cinkovog oksida, s morfologijom poput listova, dobivene su taloženjem slojevitog prekursora na staklenoj podlozi i naknadnim grijanjem. Dodatno, cinkov oksid je dopiran dušikom kako bi postao pogodan za fotokatalizu na suncu. Detaljna karakterizacija morfologije i strukture filma s hijerarhijskim elementima na mikro- i nanoskali provedena je pomoću pretražnog elektronskog mikroskopa i rentgenske difrakcije. Fotokatalitĉki pokus je izveden u otvorenom reaktoru pod zraĉenjem ksenonske svjetiljke. Gotovo potpuna degradacija bojila u relativno kratkom vremenu obećava znaĉajnu fotokatalitiĉku aktivnost ovih filmova na suncu.
Abstract (english)
Photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange dye was investigated in aqueous solution using a porous film of ZnO, consisting of two-dimensional nanostructures. Leaf-like ZnO nanostructures were obtained by deposition of layered precursor on glass substrate and subsequent heating. Further, ZnO was doped with nitrogen in order to become suitable for photocatalysis in the sun. Detailed characterization of the morphology and structure of the film on micro- and nanoscale is carried out by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Photocatalytic experiment was performed in an open reactor in the light of a xenon lamp. Almost complete degradation of dye in relatively short period indicates the probable significant photocatalytic activity of these films in the sun.
